Synopsis:

The Air Force Flight Test Center (AFFTC), 412 TW, seeks information from Industry for the replacement of our network ATM Multiplexer. This equipment has the following capabilities: provides connectivity to ATM/IP based network with the following types of medium: TTL, EIA-530, RS-422, RS-232, NTSC video, 10/100 ethernet, frame relay, T-1 s, DS3, and OC-3. These units connect to the optical ring with OC-3 over ATM. There are currently one hundred edge devices that need to be replaced due to non availability of required ATM Multiplexers. The following are the requirements for the ATM Multiplexer: chassis must be capable of both AC and 48V DC power; T-1 must be capable of B8ZS, SF or ESF, full or channelized, structured or unstructured; Ethernet must be capable of 10/100 AAL1 or AAL5; RS-232 must be capable of ranges from 2.4 to 128k async or sync; TTL data must be capable of ranges from 1K to 15Mbps or have translation capability from TTL to RS-422 at same bit rates; video is NTSC with less than 10 ms delay with minimal compression; must have remote control capability via Ethernet.
