This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared IAW the format in FAR Subpart 12.6 as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation. Quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This is a request for quotation (RFQ). The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC) 2005-26 and DFARs Change Notice (DCN) 20080721. NAICS is 334515 with a small business size standard of 500 employees. Solicitation is for a commercial purchase of
1EA PEAK POWER ANALYZER; 1EA STATISTICAL PACKAGE; 1EA PEAK POWER SENSOR; 1EA RACK MOUNTING KIT.
This acquisition is a 100% small business set-aside.
AFFTC/PKEE, Edwards Air Force Base, CA is seeking potential sources capable of providing the following item: 1EA PEAK POWER ANALYZER; 1EA STATISTICAL PACKAGE; 1EA PEAK POWER SENSOR; 1EA RACK MOUNTING KIT.
REQUIREMENTS:
Minimum Salient Characteristics for a Peak Power Meter
Here are the most important features we are looking for in a power meter:
1. A PEAK power meter that is well suited to wireless LAN burst transmission measurements and can produce peak power, average power and complimentary cumulative distribution data with near real time performance.
2. The important operating frequency range is 1 to 6 GHz.
3. Requirement: 60 MHz sensor bandwidth minimum
4. Requirement: Useable bandwidth shall not change by more than a factor over entire dynamic range of sensor
5. Requirement: Automated step calibration that can accomplish offset and slope correction to sensor calibration
6. Requirement: Independent trigger channel for each sensor that is capable of creating selectable time segment offsets and durations within transmission bursts.
7. Measurement error bounds consistent with the sensor and processor
Delivery: 4 WEEKS
Place of delivery, performance, and acceptance is FOB Destination, Edwards AFB, CA 93524.

(Jan 1999) The Government will award a contract resulting from this solicitation to the responsible offeror whose offer conforming to the solicitation will be most advantageous to the Government, price and other factors considered.
