Synopsis:

The Naval Air Systems Command has a requirement for AN/AAQ-24(V) Systems and the attendant support for the Department of the Navy Large Aircraft Infrared Countermeasures (DON LAIRCM program. These systems will be installed onto CH-53, CH-46, and MV-22 aircraft. NAVAIR plans to award a sole source contract to Northrop Grumman Corporation, Electronic Systems, Defensive Systems Division, Rolling Meadows, IL for a base award of approximately 70 AN/AAQ-24(V) systems and two years of contractor logistics support to include spares and repair of repairables efforts. The contract will contain a priced option for approximately 30 additional AN/AAQ-24(V) systems and a priced option for engineering sustaining support

This effort is being awarded on a sole source basis to Northrop Grumman Corporation, Electronic Systems, Defensive Systems Division, in accordance with FAR 6.302-1 because Northrop Grumman is the sole designer, developer, and manufacturer of the equipment addressed in this synopsis and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. In addition, Northrop Grumman Corporation owns a technical data package that is required for production of this equipment.
