This is a combined synopsis/solicitation items are being procured in accordance with FAR Part 13, Simplified Acquisitions Procedures. Department of Commerce (DOC), National Oceanic & Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), National Marine Fisheries Service Manchester Field Station, located in Port Orchard, WA has a requirement for a contractor to provide quantity of two (2) each ALFA LAVAL Model M10BW-FD all titanium heat exchangers or equal, including installation of exchangers at NOAA Fisheries Facility in Manchester Research Station located at 7305 beach Drive East, Port Orchard, WA 98366.
Product specification:
1. Heat exchangers must be an ALFA LAVAL model M10BW-FD or equal
1. Heat exchangers must be all titanium metal construction using T1 cassettes.
2. Units will use NBRP field gaskets.
3. Ring gaskets will be EPDM.
4. Heat exchangers will be installed to replace existing heat exchangers.
5. All materials necessary to connect heat exchangers to existing seawater pipeline (PVC Sch. 40 piping) and chiller refrigerant piping (copper) to be supplied by contractor.
6. Any refrigerant needed to re-supply the chiller system to be supplied by contractor.
7. The government will remove old heat exchangers.
8. Installation is out doors next to our marine lab.
This announcement constitutes the only solicitation, quotations are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Only firms that can provide the exact equipment described herein will be considered. A fixed firm order will be issued with delivery date of no later than July 15, 2008. All interested parties must respond to this announcement within fifteen (15) calendar days of its publication. This RFQ closes at 4:00 p.m. May 16, 2008.
