Synopsis:

The Naval Air Systems Command, St. Inigoes, MD intends to issue a Firm Fixed Price (FFP) IDIQ type contract for a duration of three years with BARCO VISUAL SOLUTIONS, LLC, 3059 Premiere PKWY, Duluth GA, 30097-4905 to obtain Flat Panel Displays, P/N: FD471-AIB, Processor Interface Boards (PIB) with Red, Green, Blue (RGB), PIB with Digital Video Interface (DVI), and Mounting Kit, Chassis Mount Version, P/N: K5030041. Components are being purchased to support the AN/TPX-42A(V)14 Shipboard Air Traffic Control (ATC) system and the AN/FSQ-204 Standard Terminal Automation Replacement System (STARS). This acquisition is being pursued on a sole source basis under the statutory authority 10 U.S.C. 2304 (c) (1) implemented by Federal Acquisition Regulation 6.302-1, only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. BARCO is the only known vendor who produces 20 inch square, 2K x 2K pixel flat panel monitors that are ruggedized (passed MILSPEC-electromagnetic capability, shock, and vibration testing) and are approved by the FAA. This synopsis is for informational purposes only. THIS NOTICE OF INTENT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS; however, responsible interested parties may submit information in which they can identify interest and capability to respond to this requirement. Responses must be received by 3:30 PM Eastern Time on 8 August 2008. The applicable NAICS code for this requirement is: 334119 with a size standard of 1000 employees. The anticipated solicitation number for this action is N00421-08-R-0122. The Government reserves the right to process the procurement on a sole source basis based upon the responses received. The Government will not pay for any information received. All responsible sources may submit information that shall be considered by the agency.
