The Research Service is for the VAMHCS. The technician will work in the Johns Hopkins Medicine/Neurology/Brain injury Outcomes within Research the Service of VAMHCS. The duty station is Baltimore, Maryland. The study Nurse is responsible for capturing all workload through the completion of an encounter form in a timely manner. Independently performs standard examinations and schedules patients for examinations. Evaluates the nature of critical and emergency procedures, and reaaranges patients scheduled to accomodate them. Maintains records of patients examined. Cross-indexes interesting cases for teaching purposes. All requirements in the SOW must be met.The anticipated Period of performance is one (1)Year Base with four (4) one year options periods, for a total of 60 months.
The NAICS Code is 541711. The Government intends to award a firm-fixed price contract in accordance with all terms, conditions, provisions, and specifications of this solicitation. This solicitation is anticipated to be a Sole Source. This solicitation will provide continuation of services under an extensive research project between the VA and Johns Hopkins University. The award to any other source would result in substantial duplication of cost to the Government that is not expected to be recovered through competition; or unacceptable delays in fulfilling the agency's requirements. The issue date is estimated at July 1, 2008
