This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. STATEMENT OF WORK FOR NAVAL SCHOOL EXPLOSIVE ORDNANCE D1SPOSAL DIVISION HAZARDOUS MATERIAL STORAGE CONTAINER1. SCOPE1.1 This Statement of Work (SOW) defines the requirements for the 2 hazardous material storage structures designed and approved for the storing and handling o liquids, acid, and related chemicals.
REQUIREMENTS.3.1 General.At a minimum these storage structures shallmeet the requirements of a free standing, re-locatable hazardo~s material storage structure and must be designed and approved for storing/handling of liquids, acids and related chemicals. Its specific requirements, design and manufacturing specifications include the following features:3.1.1 Buildings shall be a free standing, relocatablestructure designed and approved for storing liquids acids and related chemicals.3.1.2 Structure dimensions need to meet the minimum requirements of; 16' 11"L x 8'-6" x 8'-7/1H to accommodate storing and handling of on site hazardous material.3.1.3 Containers must include spill containment sump; air pressure tes~ed and protected with chemical resistant coating meeting EPA CPR, Part264.175.3.1.4 Re-enforced steel grate flooring with removable sections for spill maintenance with a minimum of 200lbs pSf.3.1.5 Insulation package for walls and roof.3.1.6 InterioI surfaces need to be protected with a chemical resistant coat finish and exterior surfaces finished with a w@ather resistant coating.
3.1.1 Static grounding and bonding system.3.1.8 H~zard labeling ~o include DOT placards, NFPA 704M Rating signs.3.1.9 Step for difference from ground to building floor at entry.
