Synopsis:

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Philadelphia District, intends to award on a sole source basis to Non-Linear Waves, Incorporated, 3140 North Washington Boulevard, Suite 204, Arlington, VA 22201-4430. This contract will be to fund the continue development of a set of source terms for (phase-dependent) nonlinear wave-wave interactions in finite depth water. It will build on the effort that produced a submission to the Journal of Fluid Mechanics which developed a strong foundation for this work and tested predicted characteristics against measurements published in Long and Resio (2007) and will add a slope term to the overall source term formulation. The primary deliverable will be a journal/conference article describing the theory and its preliminary testing. No RFQ will be issued based on this notice. However, all information received within five (5) calendar days after date of publication of this notice will be considered SOLELY for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement in the future. A determination by the Government not to open the requirement to competition based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. The Government will not pay for information received. The NAICS code is 541690.
