Synopsis:

The US Army ARDEC is conducting a market survey to identify potentialcontractors in technical support of its manufacturing science based missionto include the development of advanced manufacturing technology for powderprocesing, handling, and formulating in support of Armaments, Munitions, and Energetic production base. The technologies shall include powder manufacturingprocesses related to the scale-up and production of advanced energetic materials and armament components including material testing and processing.The contractor shall have demonstrated expertise in the modelling and simulation of powder processes including the statistical analysis of processeswith direct application to the development of control strategy for productionof powder based materials and fundamental physics based models of powder flowand the required equations of state. Technologies being sought include thedevelopment of placebos suitable for technique development prior to work inexplosion-proof environments, and techniques and sensors for real time controlof particle size and morphology. The contractor must have a demonstratedcapability to train the workforce, and the ability to work closely on a dailybasis with the technical staff at Picatinny Arsenal.
