1. Is information due Eastern or Pacific time? Information is due Pacific time.

4. How many lines of code is the existing OEDAS?The source code is proprietary to Teledyne RD Instruments.
5. Is the Sim ESS separate from the OEDAS Sim? Is the ESS a black box input to the OEDAS Sim? Is the ESS provided as government furnished information (GFI)?OEDAS Sim is a program that needs to emulate OEDAS. 6. Can we assume that the existing OEDAS software code is GFI?See answer 4. 7. Is software emulation or integration of existing OEDAS software preferable for the desired end state of the training devise?Yes. 8. Section 5.0 cites requirements 1-12 in section 2.0. Section 2.0 does not have requirements 1-12. Please clarify.Section 5.0, Government Furnished Equipment, will be a detailed input format which is outlined in section 3.2:Input to the Software from the Platform Simulator. This is a proposed input, but gives the general information that will be provided.
9. Please provide definition of acronyms ADCP and DVL ADCP = Acoustic Doppler Current Profiler and DVL= Doppler Velocity Log.

10. Picture and/or description of the underlying functionality for the following dialogs would allow for better estimation and understanding of the existing GUI:
Open DialogWaves Processing DialogEdit Top ADCP commands Dialog:Edit Bottom ADCP commands Dialog: MIL 1553 Interface and ADCP Position Dialog View Options Dialog
- All are standard window based dialog boxes. Open Dialog box is simply a standard open file, waves processing and mil 1553 are basically check boxes. Edit Top/Bottom ADCP commands simply display a text file for editing in a nice GUI window.
11. Additionally for the Waves Processing Dialog, when the dialog is called up from the Options menu it talks of the interactions with the Operation, Input, and Output sections of dialog. There is no mention of what should be available to the user for the Data, ADCP Information and Processing sections. When the dialog is called up from the Waves menu it speaks of the Data, ADCP Information and Processing sections and there is no mention of the Operation, Input, and Output sections. Can this information be provided?
-more detailed information will be available after estimation phase.
12. Is there a language preference (Java, VB, .Net, C++) for the simulation to be developed in? Does language and development environment contribute to "future upgrades to OEDAS can easily and inexpensively rolled" in section 3.6? Modular design factors highly into it as well.
No language preference.
