Description
The United States Geological Survey's (USGS) Mineral Assessment Program conducts assessments and applied research on the developing new techniques that can provide quality information about domestic and international mineral resources. When exposed at or near the surface of the earth, mineral resources produce diagnostic, textural geophysical and geochemical signatures. USGS is entering into a Cooperative Research & Development Agreement (CRADA) with Carnegie Minerals, PLC to test and improve its modeling capability of mineral deposits for updated suites of minerals.      This is not a procurement, the partners in a CRADA contribute funds, equipment and in-kind services to the research effort. For more information on the science effort contact Andrew E. Grosz, 703-648-6314; email agrosz@usgs.gov.    For information on Technology Transfer mechanisms contact Julia M. Giller, Technology Transfer Office, (352) 399-2133 or jgiller@usgs.gov.
