NOTICE
INVITATION FOR BIDS
Pursuant to Chapter 103D, H.R.S., SEALED TENDERS will be received up to
and opened at 2:00 P.M., HST, on August 21, 2008 in the Office of the
Division of Purchasing,
Department of Finance, 4444 Rice Street, Room 303, Lihue, Kauai, Hawaii, 96766,
for the Furnishing and Delivery of a CREW CAB TRUCK AND CHASSIS WITH 9 FOOT SERVICE BODY AND EMERGENCY LIGHT
SYSTEM for the Fire
Department, County of Kauai.
BIDDERS
ARE HEREBY NOTIFIED THAT EVIDENCE OF THE AUTHORITY OF THE PERSON(S) SIGNING THE
BID DOCUMENT IS REQUIRED TO BE INCLUDED WITH THE BID DOCUMENTS. FAILURE TO COMPLY WITH THIS REQUIREMENT WILL
BE CAUSE FOR REJECTION OF A BID AS BEING NON-RESPONSIVE OR NON-RESPONSIBLE.
The
Director of Finance reserves the right to reject any or all bids, in whole or
in part, if deemed to be in the best interest of the County.
The successful bidder shall be
required to submit to the County of Kauai, a tax clearance from the State
Department of Taxation and the U.S. Internal Revenue Service, a Certificate of
Good Standing from the State Department of Commerce and Consumer Affairs and a
Certificate of Compliance from the State Department of Labor and Industrial
Relations as a prerequisite to entering into a contract.
This is a County project funded by
Federal Community Development Block Grant (available July/August) funds. Contracts will not be awarded until funds are
available.

must include all addendums.
